Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Method is similar to the Flask Method of OECD 105. The average recovery of the method is acceptable and the standard deviation of the double determinations as well. The method is non GLP but the results are consistent and acceptable.
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Quantification by gas chromatography
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: similar to OECD 105 Flask method
Water solubility:
1.47 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 7
Water solubility:
2.21 g/L
Temp.:
50 °C
pH:
ca. 7
Water solubility:
2.69 g/L
Temp.:
70 °C
pH:
ca. 7
Details on results:
Stable: yes
Degradation products: no

Two determinations were carried out for each temperature with the following values:

20 °C: mean: 1.47 g/L, standard deviation: 0.08 g/L (rel. standard deviation: +/- 5.3%)

50 °C: mean: 2.21 g/L, standard deviation: 0.40 g/L (rel. standard deviation: +/- 18%)

70 °C: mean: 2.69 g/L, standard deviation: 0.05 g/L (rel. standard deviation: +/- 1.8%)

Description of key information

Water solubility: 1.47 g/L at 20 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1.47 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility was determined using a method similar to the Flask Method of OECD 105 and the data are considered to be reliable with restrictions.
