1. Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media : Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry powder. Foam. Water spray
2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire : Toxic fumes may be released. Carbon oxides (CO, CO2).
3. Advice for firefighters:
Firefighting instructions : Contain the extinguishing fluids by bunding (the product is hazardous for the environment).
Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers.
Protection during firefighting: Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Complete protective
clothing. Put on breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
1.Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
General measures : Avoid all contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Do not breathe vapours.
1.1 For non-emergency personnel:
Emergency procedures : Ventilate spillage area. Mark out the contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorized personnel. Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment.
1.2 For emergency responders:
Protective equipment : Wear recommended personal protective equipment.
2. Environmental precautions:
Contain the spilled material by bunding (product is hazardous for the environment). Prevent from entering sewers or the immediate environment.
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
For containment : Take up liquid spill into inert absorbent material. Shovel into suitable and closed container for disposal. Dispose of in accordance with relevant local regulations.
Other information : Dispose of waste water in conformity with current regulations.
Handling and storage
1. Precautions for safe handling:
Precautions for safe handling :
-Ensure good ventilation of the work station. Otherwise wear personal breathing apparatus.
-Arrange for eye wash possibility. Wear recommended personal protective equipment. Do
not ingest. Avoid all contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Avoid release to the environment.
-Do not breathe vapours.
Hygiene measures : Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands immediately after handling
the product. Change contaminated clothing and in any case at the end of work. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Technical measures : Electrical equipment, including lighting, must conform to current legislation. Containers which are opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
Storage conditions : Store tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep in the dark. Keep under inert atmosphere. Keep away from sources of ignition.
Incompatible materials : Strong oxidizing agents.
Storage temperature : ≤ 30 °C
Special rules on packaging : Store in original container.
