Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery of the substance from spillages, discharge to

effluent or dyed fabrics is not economically possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Is acceptable providing the concentration in effluent does

not exceed 10 mg/litre.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be rendered harmless by burning under

controlled conditions (Flue gases should be scrubbed,

providing complete combustion occurs.)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is unlikely to appreciably degrade in aerobic

processes of short duration but will be removed by sorption

onto sewage sludge. Bioelimination averaged 63% over the

first 14 days. The substance is unlikely to have any adverse

effect on aerobic processes at sewage works, but there is

significant inhibition of gas production if the substance is

present at a concentration of 1% w/w total volatile sludge

solids. Anaerobic digestion completely removes colour from

aqueous phase. This could be due to absorption onto sludge

or more likely to biodegradation.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
