First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Oxides of carbon will be evolved when subjected to heat or

combustion. Water spray, dry powder, foam or carbon dioxide

is recommended as extinguishing agent.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Contain spilt material. Ensure that there is no run-off to

drains, water or the soil. Absorb material using a suitable

absorbent and dispose of waste material at an approved

landfill site or by incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: Goggles must be worn. Exposed employees should exercise

reasonable personal hygiene, cleaning exposed skin area

several times daily with soap and water and laundering or

dry cleaning soiled work clothing at least weekly.

Storage: Supply will be in drums of about 200 litre capacity. No

special requirements.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No potentially hazardous effects known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance is considered to be of low aquatic toxicity

and may therefore be discharged under controlled conditions

to drains or waterways. Absorbent used to clean spillages

may be disposed of at a landfill site.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal by incineration at an approved site is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not expected to have deleterious effects

on such systems as it is not considered harmful to aquatic

organisms and is readily biodegradable.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
