Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the patient to fresh air immediately. Give rest. If
breathing is difficult, consult a physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate immediately with copious amounts of water. Consult
a physician if irritation persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with water and soap. Take off contaminated
clothing.
Consult a physician if redness or irritation of the skin
occurs.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give the patient plenty of water to drink. Do not provoque
vomiting.
Consult a physician if large amounts have been ingested.
Never administer water to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: In case of fire, all known extinguishers can be used,
including water(spray)
Product arising from burning: Based on the structural data, incineration in a therefore
equipped installation will result in the formation of mainly
carbon oxides and water.
An uncontrolled fire however, will give rise to an acrid
black smoke, which should not be inhaled.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Fire-fighting personnel should wear self contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: If powdered material is spilled, care should be taken not to
inhale the dust. This can be achieved by wetting the spill
with water and or the use of a dust mask.
All open flames, sparks and other sources of ignition should
be removed immediately.
Handling and storage
Handling: Contact with the material should be avoided. Inhalation of
dust and dermal contact should be prohibited.
Storage: Store the product in the original, well closed packaging.
Avoid the formation and accumulation of dust.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The product, as placed on the market, is packed in steel
drums.

Special provisions / remarks
- Remarks:
- Transport: Not classified as dangerous according to the transport
regulations.
SpecialProvisionsopen allclose all
Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None known
Chemical reaction with water: Will not occur
Dust explosion: As most organic solids, powdered material has a dust
explosion hazard.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The possibilities of recovery or recycling are very limited.
I view of the application, the purity is of extreme
importance.
Spilled material or material once applied is probably unfit
for recovery or recycling.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: No special techniques available.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the preferred method for destruction of the
product.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Since the substance is readily biodegradable, the substance
will be broken down in a water purification unit. "Overdose"
to such a unit is not likely in view of the extreme low
water solubility.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.
