Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with water and soap.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water and do not induce vomiting. Seek
medical advice immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon oxides together with
boron and tin oxides as smoke. Suitable extinguishing media
are dry powder, sand or carbon dioxide. Where possible
avoid water as the substance and its decomposition products
may be harmful to the environment.
Accidental release measures
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes and entry into mouth and
nose. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid dust
formation.
Storage: Avoid moisture absorption and store in a cool, dark place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Substance hydrolyses in water to alkyl tin oxides and boric
acid.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The manufacturer is investigating whether or not recycling
of bulk quantities is economically feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None (Dutch c.a. summary)
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Landfill may be possible if a suitable site for disposal of
organotin compounds is available and local authority
regulations permit.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Preferred method of disposal. Use an incinerator with
proper exhaust gas control and a scrubber or filter which
will catch particulate matter (tin and boron oxides).
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Disposal in water purification systems is not recommended.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from toner preparations is not possible
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Landfill for toner preparations containing the substance
may be possible, if local authority regulations permit.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Use an incinerator with proper exhaust
control and scrubber/filters to remove particulate matter.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Do not dispose of in water purification systems.
