Details on results:
The solubility of cis-l,3-dichloropropene at 19°C was determined to be greater than 250 g/Kg in methanol, n-octanol, ethyl acetate, acetone, heptane, xylene, and 1,2-dichloroethane. Approximately 1 g of cis-l,3-dichloropropene was combined with 1.0 mL of each organic solvent. After shaking at the test temperature, the samples were removed and observed to be miscible. Since the solubility of the test substance was demonstrated to be greater than 250 g/Kg in all solvents tested, no further testing was necessary.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The solubility of cis-1,3-dichloropropene at 19 ºC was determined to be greater than 250 g/Kg in methanol, n-octanol, ethyl acetate, acetone, heptane, xylene, and 1,2-dichloroethane.
Executive summary:

Solubility in methanol, n-octanol, ethyl acetate, acetone, heptane, xylene, and 1,2-dichloroethane was determined and documented for cis-1,3-dichloropropene, which was in compliance with the U.S. EPA Test Guideline 830.7840 and the OECD Guideline 105, and in compliance with GLP. The organic solvent solubility of the test substance, cis-1,3-dichloropropene, was determined at 19 ± 0.5 ºC using the shake flask method. The solubility of cis-1,3-dichloropropene at 19 ºC was determined to be greater than 250 g/kg in methanol, n-octanol, ethyl acetate, acetone, heptane, xylene, and 1,2-dichloroethane.
