Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eyes:
Rinse continuously with water for at least 15 minutes.
Skin:
Wash thotoughly with soap and water. Launder clothing before re-use.
Ingestion:
Seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.
Inhalation:
Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agents:
Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam and water fog may be used.
WATER-JET SHOULD NOT BE USED.
Products arising from burning or pytolysis:
Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon.
Protective equipment:
Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Wear suitable protective clothing, (cf 2.3.1). Absorb spillages with a suitable inert material. Carefully transfer the spillage to labelled containers, or use a sealed industrial vacum machine. Dispose of waste material in accordance with local regulations by incineration or landfill. Clean the spillage area with water and detergent, do not allow to enter water courses.
Handling and storage
Store in sealed containers at ambient temperatures away from sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Industry:
Appropriate PPE should be used at all times, and appropriate LEV should be in place thoroughout.
Use:
There is expected to be minimal exposure during use. The product should only be used by trained professionals (car mechanics etc). Appropriate PPE should be worn at all times while using the product.
Public:
Exposure to consumers is expected to be minimal. However, there may be some exposure to DIY enthusiasts (via self oil changes etc to motors). Although this exposure will be minimal, safety recommendations on the container of the product should always be followed, e.g wear appropriate hand / face protection.
Stability and reactivity
Disposal considerations
INDUSTRY:
Recovery for recycling is not feasible. However, used oil should be sent to collection centres for reuse.
- Controlled discharges:
Spillages of solutions mixed with inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with loacl regulations (A650).
- Incineration:
The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning under controlled conditions at a kicenced waste treatment processor in accordance with local regulations.
- Water purification system:
Not recommended. The substance should not normally be discharged directly to the sewage system or the aqueous environment.
FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE:
Recycling of the blended substance may be possible (B612).
- Controlled discharge:
Not recommended
- Incineration:
Small quantities may be mixed with domestic waste for disposal by incineration.
- Water purification system:
Not recommended. The substance should not normally be discharged directly to the sewage system or the aqueous environment.
- Others:
Preparations containing the substance should be sent to authorised colelction points for disposal.
