- Conclusions:
- The test substance is not considered as highly flammable under our experimental conditions.
- Executive summary:
The aim of this study was to assess the flammability of the test item, in compliance with EEC directive 92/69 - Method A10
The test substance, as supplied, was made into a pile of 250 mm length using an appropriate mould. An attempt was then made to ignite the sample.
Only a preliminary test was performed twice.
Preliminary test: No ignition of the test substance was observed and no burning rate could be measured. A flame was applied to the pile of the powder for a maximum of 2 minutes and no propagation of flame was recorded along 200 mm of the test substance train. In contact with the flame, the test item melted. Under these conditions, it was not necessary to carry out the main test.
The test substance is not considered as highly flammable under our experimental conditions.

Description of key information
To assess the flammability of the test item, in compliance with EEC directive 92/69 - Method A10 was performed and in the preliminary test No ignition of the test substance was observed and no burning rate could be measured.
So under these conditions the test substance is not considered as highly flammable.

Additional information
Justification for classification or non-classification
During a preliminary test which was performed twice No ignition of the test substance was observed and no burning rate could be measured. A flame was applied to the pile of the powder for a maximum of 2 minutes and no propagation of flame was recorded along 200 mm of the test substance train. In contact with the flame, the test item melted. Under these conditions, it was not necessary to carry out the main test so the test substance was not considered as highly flammable
