The thermobalance method has been developed (see B.F. Rordorf, A. Geoffroy, M. Szelagiewicz, and E. Marti, "Vapour Pressure Methods for Industrial Applications" in Thermal Analysis, Proc. 6th Int. Conf. Therm. Anal. Vol. I, ed. H.G. Wiedemann, Birkhauser, Basel, 1980, p. 313)

The validity of the thermobalance method was tested with benzoic acid. The agreement with literature was extremely good (e.g. OECD Guideline No. 104, p. 4 )
