Additional information

The partition coefficient of the test material was determined in the key study by Ulbert (2013). The method employed was a 1-Octanol:water two phase system using the shake flask method with HPLC-UV analysis. The study was conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 107 and EU Method A.8. Based on the principles for assessing data quality as outlined by Klimisch et al. (1997), the study was assigned a reliability score of 1.

The concentration of the test material was determined in each of the phases in the two phase system at 1-Octanol:water ratios of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:4. Each ratio was determined in triplicate and the average of the nine experiments taken as the mean partition coefficient. Due to the fact that the test material is ionisable, the pH of the water phase was adjusted to approximately 1 to ensure that the test material was completely ionised and present as the free acid form.

Under the conditions of the test, the partition coefficient of the test material was determined to be 0.0368 and the Log Pow -1.45.
