Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Median particle size (d50) was determined to be 80.543 µm (mode 89.521 µm), ISO 13320:2009, CIPAC MT 187, Younis 2013.

Additional information

The particle size of the test material was determined by laser diffraction particle size analysis over a range of 0.02 to 2000 µm in the key study Younis (2013). The analysis was conducted using the small volume (wet) module (SVM) with acetone as the dispersant.

The study was conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guidelines ISO 13320:2009 and CIPAC MT 187. The methodology also took into consideration the OECD guideline 110. Based on the principles for assessing data quality outlined by Klimisch et al (1997), this study was assigned a reliability score of 1.

Under the conditions of the test the median particle size (d50) was determined to be 80.543 µm (mode 89.521 µm); where 10 % of the material was < 30.371 µm, 50 % of the material was < 80.543 µm and 90 % of the material was < 159.047 µm.
