PBT assessment

Currently viewing:

Administrative data

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence (P and vP)

Abiotic degradation: According to structural properties, hydrolysis is expected to occur but very slowly.

Biotic degradation: The test compound is not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. A degradation of 23 %, of the test substance was observed in the screening test. It is expected that the substance will degrade slowly.

Due to these results on degradation, the substance has to be regarded as potentially persistent (P) or even very persistent (vP) in the environment.

Bioaccumulation (B and vB)

Based on Log Kow of the substance is 3.4, it is considered that the substance doesn't tend to bioaccumulate.

Toxicity

Due to the results of the aquatic toxicity studies and the relevant mammalian toxicity studies, the substance is not toxic (not T).

The overall result is that the substance is not considered as PBT and/or vPvB.
