Description of key information

The substance has no oxidizing properties.

Additional information

The oxidising properties of MMDS were investigated in accordance with EU method A.17 and UN test O.1. The burning time of the test substance was significantly longer than the burning time of 3:7 (w/w) potassium bromate:cellulose. Based on this it was concluded that the test substance has no oxidizing properties (Not Division 5.1).

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the substance has no oxidizing properties, the substance does not need to be classified as an oxidizing agent in accordance with the CLP Regulation 1272/2008.
