Administrative data

oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII (and Appendix 6 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria), the study Oxidising properties (section 7.13) does not need to be conducted as the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, based on the absence of chemical groups that might act as an oxidizing agent in the molecular structures of the constituents contained in the substance. The oxygen atoms present in these structures are not chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen, but to carbon.
