Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Principles of method if other than guideline:
A 72-hour static acute toxicity study of PB-370 was
conducted in green alga, Selenastrum capricornutum. Ten
replicate flasks, containing 100 ppm PB-370 dispersed by
ultrasonication, were inoculated with 8100 S.capricornutum
cells. Six replicate control flasks containing no PB-370
were inoculated with the same number of algal cells. Algal
cell concentrations were measured at 24, 48 and 72 hours.
The average specific growth rate and area under the growth
curve were computed from the count data. pH and temperature
were monitored at prescribed intervals. Analysis of PB-370
was conducted by a validated chromatographic method.
GLP compliance:
yes
