Additional information

One study investigating the toxicity of 2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diyl 2-ethylhexanoate (CAS No. 28510-23-8) to aquatic microorganisms is available. The GLP study was conducted under static conditions according to OECD 209 using activated sludge (Desmares-Koopmans, 2012). Concentrations of 10, 100 and 1000 mg/L (nominal) were tested. No respiration inhibition was observed in the control and the treatment groups. Hence, the 3 h-EC10/EC50 is determined to be > 1000 mg/L based on the nominal test concentration.
