Additional information

Abiotic degradation of 2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diyl 2-ethylhexanoate (CAS No. 28510-23-8) is not a relevant pathway. Due to the low vapour pressure, the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere and indirect photolysis is not to be expected. Abiotic hydrolysis is not relevant, since the substance is poorly soluble (< 0.01 mg/L in aqua dest) and is expected to be eliminated through biodegradation in natural waters. Additionally, estimated rates of hydrolysis are very low.
