Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute aquatic toxicity of Hexamethylene diisocyanate, oligomers, reaction products with N-(3-trimethoxysilyl)propylbutylamine and Bis-(Trimethoxysilylpropyl)amine on fish was investigated in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 203 [BASF Coatings GmbH, 2013]. The static study used the zebrafish Danio rerio as test species. Based on the low water solubility of the test item a water soluble fraction (WSF) was prepared and the test was conducted as limit test with a nominal loading concentration of 1000 mg/L. After 96 hours of exposure no toxic effects on fish were observed.
