Administrative data

Endpoint:
activated sludge respiration inhibition testing
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water, hence indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur
other:
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with Annex VIII Column 2 of the REACH Regulation, this study does not need to be conducted if the substance is highly insoluble in water. Fe3P was found to have a water solubility of less than 1 mg/L at 20°C (refer to section 4.8 of the registration dossier) and is considered to be highly insoluble in water. On this basis this study is considered unnecessary.

In addition, it is considered that this study is not required on the basis that no release of Fe3P to sewage treatment plants (STP) is anticipated during the substance Life Cycle.
