Additional information

Fe3P is an inorganic compound; on this basis testing for hydrolysis, biodegradation, bioaccumulation, and partition coefficient are not relevant.

Fe3P has very low water solubility; the substance was found to have water solubility less than 1mg/L in a standard water solubility test, and in a 28 -day transformation-dissolution test (refer to dossier section 4.8), Fe3P powder in aqueous media was found to release very low concentrations of iron, phosphorous, and orthophosphate (12µg/L, 47µg/L, and 31µg/L respectively). In the event that Fe3P were released within the aquatic environment it would not be expected to enter the aqueous phase to any significant degree, and those species released to the aqueous phase would not be expected to have any significant impact on the aquatic environment at the concentrations likely to occur.
