Description of key information

Four experimental studies provide consistent fish acute toxicity data. The lowest value out of the three available 96h-LC50 results is used as the key value. 96h-LC50 = 17.6 mg/L

Additional information

Two experimental acute toxicity data are available in the literature: Broderius and Kahl (1985, 1995) have reported a 96h-LC50 equal to 37.9 mg/L in Pimephales promelas (fathead minnow) and Bengtsson-Be et al (1979, 1984) have described a 96h-LC50 equal to 45 mg/L in Alburnus alburnus (bleak). In addition, an OECD 203 compliant GLP study report is available for medaka, with an 96h-LC50 equal to 17.6 mg/L. This value was selected as the key value for chemical safety assessment.
