The log Kow of the main oleic ketene dimer is 14.75. Log Kow values for the other possible ketene dimers present in the substance are in the range of 10.82 - 14.32 (KOWWIN v1.68 - "fragment constant" methodology).

The log Kow of oleic ketene dimer C36H64O2, main constituent in the substance from two C18:1 fatty acids, was calculated to be 14.75.


The log Kow of linoleic ketene dimer C36H60O2, possible minor constituent from two C18:2 fatty acids, was calculated to be 14.32.


The log Kow of palmitoleic ketene dimer C32H56O2, possible minor constituent from two C16:1 fatty acids, was calculated to be 12.78.


The log Kow of myristoleic ketene dimer C28H48O2, possible minor constituent from two C14:1 fatty acids, was calculated to be 10.82


Calculations were performed using the KOWWIN module version 1.68 of EPI Suite ("fragment constant" methodology). The molecular weight of each target compound was within the range of applicability of the calculation method.
