First-aid measures
General information:
Remove contaminated clothes at once.
After inhalation:
Provide fresh air. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
After contact with the skin:
Wash immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance. In serious cases, use emergency shower immediately.
After contact with the eyes:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 10-15 minutes and seek medical advice. Keep eyelids well open to rinse the whole eye surface and eyelids with water. Continue to bathe eyes during transport to medical practitioner.
After swallowing:
If conscious, give several small portions of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice immediately and produce the label or packaging.
Fire-fighting measures
General information:
Product does not burn. Use extinguishing measures appropriate to the source of the fire.
Suitable extinguishing media:
not applicable.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
not applicable.
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases:
not applicable.
Special protective equipment for fire fighting:
Use respiratory protection independent of recirculated air.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Wear personal protection equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Avoid inhaling mists and vapours. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent material from entering sewers or surface waters. Contain any fluid that runs out using suitable material (e.g. earth).
Methods for cleaning up:
Absorb with a liquid binding material such as diatomaceous earth and dispose of according to local/state/federal regulations. Dilute with plenty of water and dispose of according to local/state/federal regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Precautions for safe handling:
Avoid contact with acids.
Precautions against fire and explosion:
No special precautions against fire and explosion required.
Storage:
Conditions for storage rooms and vessels:
Do not store in containers made of aluminum or other light metals. Do not store in containers coated with zinc.
Advice for storage of incompatible materials:
not applicable
Further information for storage:
Keep container tightly closed.

Aerosol - respirable fraction 10,0
-
The aerosol limit specified is a recommendation should aerosol be formed during processing.
Exposure in the work place limited and controlled:
General protection and hygiene measures:
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not breathe vapours. Do not eat or drink when handling. Wash hands at the end of work and before eating. Keep working clothes separately.
Personal protection equipment
Respiratory protection:
In case of aerosol- or mist formation use respiratory protection. Gas mask filter ABEK-ST .
Hand protection:
PVC or rubber gloves, extra thick . Wear gloves for short periods only < 10 mins.
Eye protection:
tight fitting protective goggles.
Skin protection:
protective clothing, face protection, neck protection, apron .
Exposure to the environment limited and controlled:
Prevent material from entering surface waters, drains or sewers and soil.
Stability and reactivity
General information:
If stored and handled in accordance with standard industrial practices no hazardous reactions are known.
Conditions to avoid:
Keep away from incompatible substances.
Materials to avoid:
Reacts with acids . Reaction causes the formation of: heat. Reacts with light metals. Reaction causes the formation of hydrogen.
Hazardous decomposition products:
none known .
Disposal considerations
Material:
Recommendation:
Dispose of according to regulations by incineration in a special waste incinerator. Observe local/state/federal regulations.
Uncleaned packaging:
Recommendation:
Completely discharge containers (no tear drops, no powder rest, scraped carefully). Containers may be recycled or re-used. Observe local/state/federal regulations. Uncleaned packaging should be treated with the same precautions as the material.
Recommended cleaning agent:
water.
Waste Disposal Legislation Ref.No.(EC):
It is not possible to determine a waste code for this product in accordance with the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) since it is only possible to classify it according to how it is used by the customer. The waste code is to be determined within the EU in liaison with the waste-disposal operator.
