Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In the GLP Klimisch 1 studies from Younis (2014) the flammability of the registered substance was determined according to EC A.10, EC A.12 and EC A.13. The test substance did not ignit when in contact with air and does not emit gases when in contact with water and does not show spontaneous ignition when in contact with water. Furthermore, the sample melts to a clear colourless liquid upon contact with the ignition source. A pale blue/yellow flame was sustained for ~1 second after the ignition source was removed. The flame does not propagate along the sample train.

Based on these findings the registered substance is considered to be non flammable.

The results of these tests are considered to be relevant and reliable for the risk assessment.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance did not ignit when in contact with air and does not emit gases when in contact with water and does not show spontaneous ignition when in contact with water. Furthermore, the sample melts to a clear colourless liquid upon contact with the ignition source. A pale blue/yellow flame was sustained for ~1 second after the ignition source was removed. The flame does not propagate along the sample train.
