Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test material decomposed rapidly above melting point range (80.7- 81.1°C) forming tarry and gaseous residues and color changed from white to brown. No boiling of test material was observed up to the maximum temperature tested, 250 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point of the test item was evaluated by following OECD guideline 103 (Boiling Point/Boiling Range).

Boiling point (preliminary test) of the test material was measured by a Siwoloboff method.

The test material decomposed rapidly above melting point range (80.7- 81.1°C) forming tarry and gaseous residues and color changed from white to brown. The color of test material intensified on further increase in temperature. No boiling of test material was observed up to the maximum temperature tested, 250 °C.
