Justification:

Based on screening biodegradation tests, the substance is considered as not readily biodegradable. Nevertheless oxygen plays a significant role in the rapid disappearance of the substance in aerobic aquatic medium. No conclusion can be reached on the persistence

The substance is not considered as bioccumulable or very bioaccumulable due to its hydrophilic properties and its very low log Kow. The log Kow is -0.649 based on experimental data.

The substance shows chronic toxicity more than 0.1 mg/L on fish, daphnia and algae. It is not classified for mutagenicity, carcinogenicity or reprotoxicity, neither for long-term toxicity on rats. Therefore it is considered as not toxic.

The susbstance is not PBT not vPvB on the basis of the criteria of annexe XIII and the guidance document R11.
