Description of key information

In a static 96-h toxicity study, zebra-fish (B. rerio) were exposed to the test item at nominal concentrations of 100, 178 and 316 mg/L. Since the test item is poorly water soluble, the test solution was prepared by ultrasonic treatment. Nevertheless the test item precipitated, consequently the results were based on mean measured concentrations of 21.6, 26.5 and 25.9 mg/L.
As no effects were observed in any test concentrations, the LC50 could not be calculated and is estimated to be higher than 26.5 mg/L, the NOEC was estimated to be 26.5 mg/L. It can be concluded that effect concentrations exceeds the solubility of the test item and is not acute toxic in the range of solubility.
