Description of key information

In accordance with Section 9.4 of Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, studies to investigate the effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.
Due to the properties of this substance, the environmental releases are strictly controlled and no emission to the environment takes place. The results of the chemical safety assessment therefore indicate that there is no need to further investigate the effects on terrestrial organisms; as such, comparison of the derived PNEC with the results of the exposure assessment yield a risk characterisation ratio well below a value of 1.
It is therefore considered justified to omit the effects on soil microorganisms study required in section 9.4.2 of Annex IX.
