Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
18 Jul - 13 Aug 2012
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Boiling pt.:
ca. 200 °C
Atm. press.:
1 012 mBar
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
ca. 200 °C

Details:

The test item shows a boiling and/or thermal decomposition at ca. 200 °C (at 1013 mbar) according to the definition in the OECD guideline 103 (mean value from a repeat determination; 1st heating run).

196 °C (from first measurement)

206 °C (from second measurement)

199 °C (from third measurement)

From 200 °C the test item shows a boiling and/or thermal decomposition with evaporation of the decomposition components.

The DSC measurements were confirmed by means of TGA measurements under the same measuring conditions.

Description of key information

ca. 200 °C at 1012 mbar.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling and/or thermal decomposition of the substance was determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 103.
