non explosive

Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 of section 7.11 of REACH Annex VII, the study need not been conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the substance. Based on the known chemical and physical properties of the substance and its chemical structure, a negative result is predicted for the A14 Explosive Properties test of Council Regulation (EC) no 440/2008. As such it is considered justified to omit the test.

Justification for classification or non-classification

From the compositional description and the structural formula given, it can be concluded that the substance does not exhibit explosive properties. There are no functional groups associated with explosive properties or tendencies that would indicate that this substance will manifest explosive properties. Thus, this substance should not be classified as dangerous according to the criteria for explosivity, which is furthermore confirmed by long term handling experience.
