Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Exposure to saturated vapours of butoxyl (10000 mg/m3) only caused slight irritation of the accessible mucous membranes after 1 and 6 hour exposures in cats and rabbits.
Executive summary:

In an acute inhalation study, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs were exposed to saturated vapours of butoxyl for 1 and 6 hours. Only slight irritation of the accessible membranes was seen in cats and rabbits after 1 and 6 hour exposures. Butoxyl was considered to be of low acute inhalation toxicity.
