Additional information

Acute toxicity results are available for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae exposed to 3-methoxybutyl acetate and these have been used to derive the PNECs for this substance.

Conclusion on classification

The lowest EC or LC50 for this substance is 7.1 mg/L for fish, however 3-methoxybutyl acetate is readily biodegradable and has a log Kow < 3 therefore according to criteria in Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 the substance is not classified for the environment.
