Observations

1

39

An orange flame from the orifice.

56

Burning test material was ejected from the orifice.

190

An explosion. Test stopped.
The tube was recovered in one piece. The sides and base had bulged and there was a small split in the side of the tube.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non explosive
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The test material has been determined not to have explosive properties.
Executive summary:

The explosive properties were determined using Method A14 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC (which constitutes Annex V of Council Directive 67/548/EEC).

The test material was subjected to the following:

1)       The BAM fall hammer test which is a test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to shock.

2)       The BAM friction test which is a test of mechanical sensitivity with respect to friction.

3)       The Koenen steel tube test which is a test of thermal sensitivity.

Results:

BAM fall hammer test: Negative

BAM friction test: Negative

Koenen steel tube test: Negative

Conclusion:

The test material has been determined not to have explosive properties.
