Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush with water. Obtain medical attention
immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wipe off and wash with soap and water. Obtain medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Obtain medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: CO2, foam, dry powder or fine water spray. Water can be used
to cool fire exposed containers.
Product arising from burning: Silica. Carbon oxides and traces of incompletely burned
carbon compounds. Formaldehyde. Phosphorous products.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: A self-contained respirator and protective clothing should
be worn. Keep containers cool woth water spray until the
fire is out.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Very large spills should be contained by bunding procedures.
Mop, wipe or soak up with absorbent material and place in a
container with a lid. The spilled product produces an
extremely slippery surface.
Handling and storage
Handling: Ventilation is recommended.
Avoid skin and eye contact.
Do not ingest.
Storage: Store in a flameproof, well ventilated area.
Ensure that all equipment is electrically earthed.
Keep container tightly closed.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Steel drums or pails.
