Description of key information

The boiling point of isophorone diamine isobutyraldimine as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD TG 103 (1995) and EU Guideline A.2 (1992) is 302 °C at 1010.4 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
302 °C

Additional information

The effect of the difference in pressure between normal (1013.25 hPa) and experiment (1010.4 hPa) is estimated to be below 1 °C. The value at 1013.25 hPa will be slightly above 302 °C. While a minor chemical reaction was observed at 128 °C, the vast majority of the substance remained stable up to the normal boiling point during the test. The reaction at 128°C can with high probability be assigned to an impurity.
