Description of key information

Hydrolysis as a function of pH (OECD 111) testing does not need to be conducted, as the substance is readily biodegradable and highly insoluble in water. However, a prediction has been made using

(EPISuite v4.11, Hydrowin v2.00) to support the hydrolysis endpoint.

Octadecanedioic acid, 1,18-dimethyl ester (ODDAME) is predicted to be stable in water at pH 7.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
3.641 yr
at the temperature of:
25 °C
