Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Two estimations of partition coefficient are available for the substance. The first determination was carried out using the HPLC Method resultng in log10 Pow >6.2. A further estimation has been prepared by QSAR using the EPIWIN tool and the achieved a value of 11.79

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
11.79

Additional information

Two estimations of partition coefficient are available for the substance.

The first determination was carried out using the HPLC Method, Method A8 of Commission directive 92/69/EEC (which constitutes Annex V of Council directive 67/548/EEC).

The partition coefficient of PX-200 has been determined to be greater than 1.59E+06, log10 Pow >6.2. Substances having a Log10 Pow greater than 3 are regarded as having the potential to bioaccumulate in the environment.

A further estimated has been prepared by QSAR using the EPIWIN tool using the KOCWIN Program (v2.00) and the achieved a value of 11.79

This latter value is considered to represent the likely value and is used in further assessment in preference to the limit value achieved by testing.

On the basis of these data the substance is considered to be not bioaccumulative.
