Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The acute toxicity of DVS005u to earthworms was determined to be LC50 >1000 mg/kg soil dw and the NOEC 1000 mg/kg soil dw according to a study performed in line with GLP and to the standardised guideline OECD 207.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for soil macroorganisms:
1 000 mg/kg soil dw
Long-term EC10, LC10 or NOEC for soil macroorganisms:
1 000 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

The key study (Goodband, 2012) was conducted in line with GLP and a standardised guideline with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the study. A total of sixty earthworms were exposed to 1000 mg/kg soil dw of the test material in a limit test. No significant mortalities or sub-lethal signs of toxicity were observed in any of the test groups. The LC50 was determined to be > 1000 mg/kg and the NOEC to be 1000 mg/kg. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997).
