Description of key information

The partition coefficient of DVS005u was determined to be log Pow 6.58 ± 0.32 at 25 ºC according to a study performed in line with GLP and to the standardised guideline EPA OPPTS 830.7560 (Partition Coefficient, n-octanol/water, Generator Column Method).

The key study (Van Hoven and Nixon, 2008) was conducted in line with GLP and a standardised guideline with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the study. The octanol-water partition coefficient was determined using the generator column method with analytical measurements performed using HLPC with UV detection. The average partition coefficient was calculated at 25 ºC, pH 7 and the corresponding log Pow was derived (6.58 ± 0.32). The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997).
