First-aid measures
General advice: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately.
If inhaled: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
In case of skin contact: Wash off with soap and water. No hazards which require special first aid measures
In case of eye contact: No hazards which require special first aid measures. Flush eyes with water as a precaution. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
If swallowed: No hazards which require special first aid measures.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray jet, Foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder
Unsuitable extinguishing agents: High volume water jet
Thermal decomposition: Fire may cause evolution of: Carbon dioxide (CO2), Carbon monoxide (CO)
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.
Accidental release measures
Personal Precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
Enviromental Precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods for cleaning up: Use mechanical handling equipment. Avoid dust formation. Return contained product to the manufacturer. Flush with plenty of water.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid dust formation. Measures must be taken to prevent dust explosion when processing in fine crystalline form.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Requirements for storage areas and containers: For storage suitable stores with adequate product-reception volume must be used. During handling local official regulations must be observed in order to avert impairment of water by the product.

Exposure controls / personal protection
This intermediate is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the ECHA REACH Guidance on Intermediates. Site documentation to demonstrate safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Personal protective equipment
Eye protection: Safety glasses
Hand protection:
Material: Hand protection: protective gloves for chemicals made of Baypren, nitrile rubber or PVC wear. Remarks: Breakthrough time not tested; dispose of immediately after contamination. Advice: The gloves should not be reused.
Respiratory protection: No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. Breathing apparatus only if aerosol or dust is formed. Effective dust mask.
Protective measures: Wear suitable protective equipment.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid: no data available
Materials to avoid: no data available
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Disposal considerations
Product: Dispose of as hazardous waste in compliance with local and national regulations.
Contaminated packaging: Contaminated, empty containers are to be treated in the same way as the contents.
