Additional information

Experimental data are available for the assessment of long-term toxicity of epoxiconazole to birds. A GLP study was performed according to EPA OPP 71-4 (Avian Reproduction test). A mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) was used as a test organism in this study. Test item concentrations were analytically verified using HPLC. After an acclimatization period of about 2 weeks the birds were offered the test item in their feed, for a period of 22 weeks (10 weeks pre-egg production, 12 weeks egg production period). The test concentrations were control, 50, 150 and 500 ppm. The 22-weeks NOEL was determined to be 150 ppm (BASF AG, rep. no.: BF 486/921138, 1993). In terms of daily dietary dose the endpoint is NOEL = 23.1 mg/kg b. w./d.
