Description of key information

The effects of the substance on terrestrial organisms were investigated with soil macroorganisms, soil microorganisms, arthropods, terrestrial plants and birds.

The NOEC for the soil macroorganisms except arthropods (Eisenia fetida) is178 µg a.s./kg dry weight soil.

The NOEC for terrestrial arthropods (Folsomia candida) was determined to be 1.25 mg test substance/kg soil d.w.

The EC50 (21 d), determined in a vegetative vigour and in a seedling emergence studies, conducted with ten differentes species, was > 100 g a.s./ha (equivalent to > 0.133 mg a.s./kg soil dw).

Furthermore, the substance showed no effect on nitrogen transformation of the soil microflora up to 2.7 mg a.s./kg dry soil.

Additional information

The substance chronic toxic effect on earthworms, collembolan and plants ranged from 0.13 to 1.25 mg a.s./kg dry weight soil.

The study on Poecilus cupreus resulted in mortalities ranging from 0% to 100% at test substance concentrations of 0.01 to 4 mg/kg dry weight soil.

The overall NOEC regarding birds dietary toxicity was 126 mg a.s./kg feed.

In pollinator studies, investigating contact and oral toxicities, the lower LD50 value of > 0.02 µg/bee was determined.
