Specific details on test material used for the study:
Batch name: 1806PD02BBI9000
Purity: 94.1% (main component), according to certificate of analysis
Certificate of Analysis Date: June 30, 2021
Aggregate State at Room Temperature: Liquid
Colour: Colourless – yellowish
Theoretical Oxygen Demand: ThOD NH4: 3.288 mg oxygen per mg test item
Expiry Date: October 21, 2022
Storage Conditions at the Test Facility: At 4 +/- 4 °C, in the dark
Safety Precautions: Routine safety and hygienic procedures
Oxygen conditions:
aerobic
Inoculum or test system:
activated sludge, domestic, non-adapted
Details on inoculum:
Activated sludge, microorganisms from a domestic waste water treatment plant will be supplied by a municipal sewage treatment plant (e.g. Rossdorf, Germany).
Duration of test (contact time):
60 d
Initial conc.:
41.6 mg/L
Based on:
test mat.
Parameter followed for biodegradation estimation:
CO2 evolution
Details on study design:
The closed test flasks will be incubated in a climatic chamber under continuously stirring. Evolving carbon dioxide will be absorbed in an appropriate absorber. The consumption of oxygen will be determined by measuring the change of pressure in the flasks.

Preparation of Test Flasks: The amounts of test item and reference item will be directly weighed into the test flasks. No emulsifiers or solvents will be used.
