Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The prediction of oxidizing properties of Jasminlactone was carried out using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A.21 The structure was assessed for the content of oxygen and/or halogen atoms, if these elements are present, further assessment is carried out to establish if these elements are chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen. If the structure does not contain oxygen or halogen atoms, or these elements are present but not chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen, the oxidizing properties can be predicted negative.

The structure contains oxygen but it is not bonded to nitrogen or oxygen. Based on the chemical structure of the test item the result for the oxidizing properties has been predicted negative.
