Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Type:
relative density
Density:
0.928 other: no dimension
Temp.:
20 °C

The calibration of the instrument was verified at 20.0 °C with double-distilled water and cyclohexane just before the determinations. The results were:

Water: reference value: 0.998 g/mL instrument reading: 0.998 g/mL

Cyclohexane: reference value: 0.779 g/mL instrument reading: 0.779 g/mL

The results are within the precision of the instrument (± 0.001 g/mL).

The results obtained with test item at 20.0 °C were:

first determination: p = 0.928 g/mL

second determination p = 0.928 g/mL

average (rounded off): p = 0.928 g/mL or D420= 0.928

The estimated precision is: ± 0.001 g/ml.

Conclusions:
The density of test item was determined according to the OECD guideline No. 109 (oscillating densitimeter method). is ρ = 0.928 ± 0.001 g/mL at 20 °C.
Executive summary:

The density of test item was determined according to the OECD guideline No. 109 (oscillating density meter method) using an oscillating density meter.

 The relative density of test item is ρ = 0.928 ± 0.001 g/mL at 20 °C.

Description of key information

The relative density of test item was determined to be 0.928 at 20°C.

This is a mean of two determinations.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.928
