Description of key information

Short-term toxicity tests to fish and daphnia revealed L(E)C50 values exceeding the maximum solubility of the test item in test medium.

The 72h-EC10 and EC50 values for inhibition of growth rate of green algae were beyond the range of concentrations tested, i.e. exceeded a time weighted average concentration of 50 µg/L. The 72h-NOEC for growth rate was 50 µg/L, being considered as the maximum solubility of the test item in test medium.

Pergafast 425 was not toxic to wastewater bacteria (activated sludge) at 1000 mg/L. The EC50 was above 1000 mg/L.

Two testing proposals are included for the long-term toxicity to fish and aquatic invertebrates.
