Additional information

The genotoxic potential of hexadecyl hydrogen maleate was evaluated based on the available data on Similar Substances. Justification for Read Across is given in Section 13 of IUCLID.

According to the available data the substance is not considered to have mutagenic potential based on negative results in the Ames test, chromosomal aberration tests and micronucleus test.

Justification for classification or non-classification

All tests for genotoxicity are negative. No classification for mutagenicity is required under CLP Regulation EC no. 1272/2008.
