PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Because 1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-3-methylphthalic anhydride (3-MTHPA D4) hydrolyses almost instantanously on contact with water to give 3-Methylcyclohex-4-ene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid (3-MTHPAc D4), the PBT assessment was made on that substance.

As result, 3-MTHPAc D4 does not meet the criteria to be regarded as either PBT or vPvB.

Likely routes of exposure:

It is predicted the soil to be the most likely environmental target compartment.
