Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Because the substance is a salt, the log Kow is, as expected, concentration-dependent.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the log Pow of the test substance was determined to be -4.99 at 21.5°C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the n-octanol/water partition coefficient of the test substance according to EU Method A.8, in compliance with GLP. The partition coefficient of the test substance was determined according to the HPLC method. Samples were prepared in aqueous and n-octanol phases. After sample preparation, the concentration of the test substance was determined using UV-VIS sprectrometry. The log Pow values varied between <-4.5 and -4.99. Under the study conditions, the log Pow of the test substance was determined to be -4.99 at 21.5°C (Hellbusch, 1986).

Description of key information

The n-octanol/water partition coefficient was determined according to EU Method A.8 (Hellbusch, 1986).
